ABOUT JESSICA

Jessica Sepulveda, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor and certified Emotionally Focused Couple Therapist, working with couples, individuals, and families in Centennial, Colorado.

How I got here

For fifteen years I worked as a recreational therapist in a long-term care facility. I spent my days with people living with neurocognitive disease, and I was fascinated by its nuances and moved by what stays true through all of it: people just want connection. To be heard, seen, and understood. Being with people in their most vulnerable and difficult places was an incredible privilege.

I knew I wanted to keep working with people directly and help them find peace and healing. So I added more clinical training, and I've been practicing as a counselor for five years.

How I work

My approach is person-centered and down to earth. I want you to feel welcome and safe, treated with dignity and respect in a space free of judgment. My own lived experience personally and professionally allows me to relate to people in a meaningful way. If I don't get it right away, I will approach with genuine curiosity to help you process and understand.

I look at the presenting issue with an objective, comprehensive eye and ask what will best support it. We're not one size fits all.

Connection and to be loved are human needs. I believe that any relationship can be strengthened and restored through a strong working alliance, commitment to the therapy process and the power of love. The many challenges faced can be solved together and the bond secured.

Outside the Office

I'm a Colorado native who loves fitness, sports and music. Spending time with my family at the dinner table, during trips and the interactions in the day to day bring me great joy. Taking a walk and being outside gives me a sense of peace. My mindset is that of growth and a learner who enjoys the novelty of new ideas, projects and hobbies. I believe wellness (physical, emotional, social and spiritual) is a balance and imperative to quality of life.
